Improving vision naturally: myth or reality?

These days, there is a lot of buzz out there about natural methods for improving eyesight. Since I am biologist and a person who prefers non-conventional methods over conventional, I decided to make a little bit more research about natural approach of treating vision.

And guess what I found.

People who are into this, are saying that the first approach to take non-conventional measures against bad vision are back in the time in 1920s, when Dr. Bates used to experiment with visualizations for patients with cataracts, an eye condition where the lens of eye gets cloudy.

One patient completely removed its problem until she got stressed out again. When people were stressed, the disease appeared again. Dr. Bates found that eyesight as part of our visual system, which is connected with the central nervous system is correlated with patient's physical and emotional state; when your are stressed, tired, and anxious, your vision get worse, and when you are motivated, relaxed, and happy, it gets better.

All that theory in turned into practice with the invention of brain and eye relaxation techniques, which stimulates your nerves to act in function of the eyes, your window to the world. Normally, without reducing bad habits to minimal this is impossible. Healthy lifestyle and proper diet will give a big boost in your efforts to get your vision back naturally.

Almost 100 years after Bates, and after a period in which eye care industry is hiding the truth from the mass, some brave ophthalmologists started to reveal techniques packed into comprehensive guides for natural vision improvement. I found a review of a person who claims to heal his vision naturally. You can read his blog here eyesightcorner.com.

There are many other eyesight blogs and websites on the web as well, you only need to be interested to solve your problem and go for it!

Meir Schneider is also a person to follow because of the fact he was born blind, and thanks to Bates techniques, within 18 months, he could read print without glasses, holding the paper a few inches from his nose. Today he is considered as a natural health pioneer.

Bates Method is not a medical approach. It is important to know that you must seek a licensed practitioner for any diagnosis, prescription, or treatment. Bates techniques are more like meditation or yoga. It can help you engage your mind and imagination, to relax your eyes, and bring about as much natural healing as possible.

Final thoughts

To be honest, I trust this person, as I trust many other people in this world who drop their contact lenses and eye glasses because they trust and take actions. And when you combine positive energy with activity, then you get results.
Vision can be improved naturally, the question is do you really believe it!
