Improving vision naturally: myth or reality?

These days, there is a lot of buzz out there about natural methods for improving eyesight. Since I am biologist and a person who prefers non-conventional methods over conventional, I decided to make a little bit more research about natural approach of treating vision.

And guess what I found.

People who are into this, are saying that the first approach to take non-conventional measures against bad vision are back in the time in 1920s, when Dr. Bates used to experiment with visualizations for patients with cataracts, an eye condition where the lens of eye gets cloudy.

From minerals, cucumber has many phosphorus, calcium, iron, manganese, and iodine. Contains very little sodium and potassium, because you do not have to salts to disturb existing relations of these two minerals. Due to this behavior of sodium and potassium, cucumber is strongly diuretic agent. Therefore, this vegetable is recommended for difficult urination, and diseases of the heart and kidneys, and against rheumatism.

We present five foods that are extremely rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, and who should have them literally eating each day.

Before we start, you may want to watch this video about which food additives should not be consumed or reduce their consumption.

Some studies show that the average person eat per year over 30 kg tomatoes in various dishes and salads. Tomatoes are cheap and can easily be purchased in various forms: fresh, canned and even dried. The goodness value of the tomatoes could not be lost after heat treatment, and lycopene, otherwise carotenoid that gives the red color of tomatoes is one of the best natural medicines against breast and prostate. Tomatoes are also rich with vitamins A and C, and contain fibers that are necessary for healthy digestion.
  • Yogurt. This milk product can be found in almost every refrigerator and is rich in calcium that regulate digestion, reduce cholesterol and enhance immune system. Also, yogurt is rich with protein and vitamin B12.
  • Avocado. Though exotic fruits, today can be found in almost all the larger and better-supplied markets. This fruit is very rich in potassium and glutathione, otherwise an essential nutrient that destroys free radicals. Avocados contain unsaturated fats that increase "good cholesterol" levels, and large amounts of vitamin E that protects cells from aging. However, although avocado is very healthy, it should be consumed in moderation, because the amount of fat they contain.

  • Green leafy vegetables. Besides dairy products, the richest source of potassium which is crucial for healthy bones, teeth and reduces the risk of osteoporosis is precisely this vegetable. Besides potassium, spinach, Swiss chard and lettuce contain large amounts of vitamins A and C, as well as many other important vitamins.

While agree that it is definitely annoying every day to have a fish bowl, nutritionists say that in the case of salmon still need to make an exception and every day to eat at least one small piece of this fish. Salmon is a fatty fish rich in Omega 3 fatty acids that the body can not produce, and are entered only through diet.
