
High cholesterol levels, commonly known as high blood cholesterol is diagnosed when there is too much cholesterol circulating in the blood. When this happens over time, cholesterol can be used in the vessel walls and the creation of a sheet of wax to accumulate thick. This process, called atherosclerosis, can reduce blood flow to the heart or other body parts, get the prevention of oxygen and nutrients to where they go.
